Getting Started

We designed this site to help you understand who we are and what we do as a true custom-design build contractor. Many builders claim to be “custom,” but are really little more than stock plan builders that allow for some tweaking of existing plans or modifications that don’t alter the structural envelope to any major degree. That couldn’t be farther from what we do. You will see three headings in the Find Your Home section that are intended to assist and walk you through the process.

1. Pick a floor plan you like and would want your house to be similar to. Or use your imagination and grab a pencil and create just the house you’ve always dreamed of. If you don’t see a plan you like, we can design one from scratch.

2. Look over the included features in each Design Series, as these will be standard. If there are any other things you’d like included in your new home, the opportunities are wide open, the sky’s-the-limit. We’ll allow you to add nearly anything you want to your new home.

3. Select a community and pick your home site. Each area in which we build has its own unique features and qualities and as you explore them you will undoubtedly feel the difference. If you have already picked a community and found us as a result of seeing our signs or homes under construction there, or if you own your own homesite already, you are one step closer to the dream.

SECTION ONE

FLOOR PLANS This section is meant to show you plans and designs as a starting point for you to begin the design process. Our design team is here to help you remake, rework and redraw, in part or in whole, any and every part of these plans to make them your own. Again, these are meant to be just the beginning of the process. However, if you find a plan that “fits the bill” just as it is; great, we can deliver it just like it is with all the features and touches you want to add. We hope our plans will peak your interest, excite your spirit and allow you the freedom to design the home you’ve always imagined.

Bring us photos or pictures from magazines, drawings you created or found a while back so we can design a house that looks and lives just the way you want it. You are truly only limited by your imagination. We promise to listen carefully and then use our skills and abilities to create a home just for you. It takes only a little bit longer to design a home this way, but the outcome is both remarkably and distinctively different and better.

DON’T SEE A PLAN YOU LIKE, that’s okay too… We can start from scratch or from that napkin you scribbled on over dinner one night when your creative juices where flowing and you had a great idea for your next home. This is truly what custom building is all about.

SECTION TWO

DESIGN SERIES This section is broken into three categories. They were each created to correspond to each of the different communities in which we build throughout Brevard County. Additionally, each series is meant to explain the level of finish and features each community requires. Each series is all Burton and each carries our unwavering commitment to quality and craftsmanship. You will see in our Communities Section where we build each series; but just as with our floor plans, these are just the starting point. We allow you to add nearly anything your heart desires and budget permits. Imported tile or doors from Europe, Professional Series appliances, wine cellars, handcrafted cabinets and libraries built-ins, nothing is out of the question and some you’ll find are actually already included.

SECTION THREE

COMMUNITIES Christopher Burton Homes is blessed to be an authorized builder in over half a dozen local communities and neighborhoods. We’ve provided a brief online introduction to some of these and have also listed which series we highlight in each. Lot sizes and price variations dictate the final price of the homes we build.

BY THE WAY we also build on scattered and infill lots throughout Central Florida, on the rivers and ocean and wherever you or our other clients own or buy a building site.
