Health First TV Commercial

The former Christopher Burton Model Home in Colfax Landing was chosen as the set for a recent Health First TV spot. The 30 second spot featured local professional talent and a film crew that came in from Kentucky and Ohio. The crew and cast took over the Burton Model Home for the day long shoot which was created to highlight how Health First helps people make health choices everyday. The Producers of the TV commercial had looked at numerous locations in the area before deciding upon the Burton Model as the site for the set. The Health First Healthplex was featured and the actor began her day with healthy choices at home before going to the gym as part of her healthy lifestyle. The commercial has aired in local markets and we were pleased to see our home featured in local living rooms. If you haven’t already seen the piece, watch for it on your local network.

On Thursday, April 22, a bus-load of local Realtors from Brevard County, arrived at Wyndham at Duran to view the New Burton Showplace. At the last stop of the day, the group of Real Estate Professionals was greeted by the Burton Staff and treated to lunch and a brief talk about the Burton difference. Many had never seen the new model, which only opened about 4 weeks before and several had never seen a Burton home before. The response was amazing and the compliments were free flowing. “Gorgeous,” “amazing,” “beautiful,” “impressive,” “stunning,” and “I could live here,” were all heard.

Melissa Altman was the winner in the Burton/Apple iPad Giveaway. Melissa and her husband Alex live in Rockledge and registered to win the iPad during the Spring Parade of Homes, at the New Burton Showplace in Wyndham at Duran.

In 2006 Doug and Melanie Sorensen were enjoying dinner at a riverside restaurant and considering Doug’s retirement from his successful career as a Physician. “You know if we lived on the river this is what we would wake up to everyday,” Doug suggested to his Bride. Melanie was on board and the dream began.

They found a lot and began to design a house and select a builder. Melanie says they did their homework and are so pleased they decided upon Chris and Christopher Burton Homes. “I think we got an amazing home by using Chris. His insights and suggestions made all the difference. We loved the whole process and we love our home.”

Along with 11 other locations throughout Brevard County, the New Burton Showplace, played host to the Women’s Center’s Gourmet Kitchen Tour on Saturday April 10^th.

The charity event and fundraiser was held to help raise both money and awareness for the Center’s many programs aimed at helping those women in Brevard County in need of counseling, housing, career guidance and victim services.

The Center is proud of it’s ability to help over 10,000 women annually and believes that helping women to help themselves become self sufficient, active and participants in their own communities, is a cause worthy of all of our attention. “The Women’s Center is committed to changing lives for the better, forever!”

The Women’s Center Guild, sold over 300 tickets to the event. Local area musicians, businesses and chef’s took part to make the day spectacular and successful. Pizza Gallery and Grill Chef, James Roberts, served up the Gallery’s fine fare to the delight of crowd. The Burton Showplace was hosted for the event by Women’s Center’s Treasurer, Rosemary Bain and assistant Tony Mirabito.

Despite the fact that the doors were to open at 10AM, by 9:20 the guests were already arriving for the day. The event was both fun and well attended.

On Saturday the New Burton Showplace opened to rave reviews. The model home, which is quite different from past Burton models, is a refreshing mix of traditional elements and current design.

Many of the features are firsts for CBH and seem to be just what the today’s buyers are looking for. The two comments we heard most were that people love the new look and feel of the home and that it is the best Burton model yet. (more…)

Coming off an incredible 2009, Burton Homes found the need to hire 2 new staff members to help with client care and customer service. Sisi Packard comes back to Burton to manage client care and Dannielle Goodman comes to Burton to coordinate customer service. We couldn’t be more excited than to have Sisi and Dannielle with us.
