Chris Burton, President

Chris began his career in the construction trade by sweeping floors and helping around the job site for his uncle’s construction company. Later he entered the trades and become a roofer. After attending Auburn University, Chris worked as a construction superintendant before starting Christopher Burton Homes in 1998. Today Chris oversees the general operations of The Burton Companies. His desire to make each home remarkable and each homeowner happy is what makes a Burton Home so special. It’s more common than not to see Chris on site, as his true love is being there to see a home come to life.

Tom Davis, Vice President, Director of Business Development and Residential Design

At age 16 Tom entered the construction field as a carpenter’s helper. Working summers during college and later extending his passion into fine woodworking and cabinet making, Tom has never been far from the craft he loves the most. With nearly 30 years of Real Estate and building experience, designing homes and creating business development strategies makes Tom’s days at CBH more fun than work. “Builders sometimes get confused as to what business they are in. The exciting thing for me is that our business priority is clear…. it’s all about the people. You can’t make everyone happy all the time, but we’ll never stop trying. When you wake up every morning wanting to go to work, you know you’ve found your right place in life.”

Sisi Packard, Director of Client Services

With a degree in Construction Management from the University of Florida and having owned and operated her own construction company, Sisi returns to Christopher Burton Homes as head of client services. Her desire to build exceptional homes and her passion to make the process rewarding and satisfying for each and every Burton client, takes client care to a whole new level. As a wife, mom and woman, in what has traditionally been a man’s business, Sisi is uniquely qualified to understand and handle the day-to-day issues of building a home and satisfying the needs and desires of our clients. Oh, by the way, did we mention that she is also our Green Building expert and leading CBH to become a leader in building smarter and greener homes.

Ed Walker, Senior Construction Superintendent

Ed Walker brings 35-plus years of on-the-job experience and a wealth of knowledge in construction management and supervision to Christopher Burton Homes. After his time at Delaware and Delaware State, studying accounting, Ed decided a career using his hands and his mind suited him better. Now, after being being the ‘go-to guy’ for a number of local builders, Ed is known as a Builder’s Builder and beloved by subs and homeowners alike. His unparalleled knowledge and quiet but confident demeanor assures that every home we build is done right and every job is completed to the highest standard.

Bob Lindsey, Director of Burton Home Services

Football at North Carolina State and a passion for history made up the early years for “Big Bob.”  Today he brings 28 years of expertise to both the residential and commercial side of the Burton Companies. Whether it’s designing, bidding and managing a multi-million dollar commercial project or handling the day-to-day service or warranty needs of our past and present clients, Bob does it all. With such diversity and ability, Bob is invaluable to both CBH and our clients. Getting the job done right the first time is what makes Bob’s attitude a role model for the entire building industry.

Patty Lent, Bookkeeper

Having been with Burton for years, Patty handles the company’s financial concerns to insure that everything runs smoothly for CBH, our clients, our subs and our vendors. Patty’s job is not the most exciting in the building business, but few are any more important than hers. Anyone who knows her recognizes just how much she cares for our company, our clients and our trade partners. Patty brings a quiet confidence to all parts of our business and processes and takes the day-to-day worry out of the issues that have plagued the building industry for decades.

Dannielle Goodman, First Contact, Permitting and Customer Service Coordinator

As one of the newest members of the Burton team, Dannielle comes to CBH with a degree in Accounting from Florida Metropolitan University. Additionally, Dannielle brings years of experience in project management and land development with a larger volume builder/developer. Her position as the Senior Corporate Land Planner and Developer for her previous employer, offers CBH a unique perspective among builders of our size. As our first point of contact, the person responsible for permitting and customer service, Dannielle is not simply an important part of CBH, but a vital one. She does it all and does it well. But what more would you expect from a mom who has more hats to wear than Dr. Seuss ever dreamed.

Dave Guthrie, Construction Equipment Operator

For Dave it’s all about a job well done. “No” is word that never crosses Dave’s lips. His skill at maintaining and operating construction equipment is only rivaled by his ability to get any job done and done well in a most timely manner. Dave brings a skill and an unparalleled attitude to each project and adds a level of professionalism and craftsmanship necessary to deliver a quality Burton home each and every time. Dave is truly the cornerstone of our business and our clients will be the first to say so. If there was ever a team player award in the construction industry, Dave would be a repeat recipient.
